Type Locality: Karibib Constituency, Erongo Region – Namibia
A rare iron arsenite. So far, it always originated as a weathering product of löllingite. Visually similar to ludlockite.
The structure seems to have been solved just recently . The mineral is unique in being the only arsenite with structurally different anions (chains and dimers simultaneously), and is a representative of a small class of diarsenates(III) (or diarsenites).
